80% of small enterprises in China have signed labour contracts with their employees. According to statistics, by the end of June 2013, 2.4 million collective contracts were signed, covering 5.8 million enterprises and 276 million workers.
During the same period, 1.3 million collective wage contracts were signed, covering 3.24 million enterprises and 150 million workers.
To better protect women workers, the relevant trade union signed 1.2 million specific contracts, covering 2.8 million enterprises and 79 million women.
In addition, Global 500 companies operating in China such as Walmart, Kentucky and Carrefour have introduced collective bargaining.
