ACFTU Leader Attends BRICS Summit

A Chinese trade union delegation led by Wang Ruisheng, member of the ACFTU Secretariat, attended the seventh BRICS summit in the Russian city of Ufa on July 9, 2015.

In a speech to the summit, he said the Chinese people are implementing the spirit of President’s key speeches and the “Four Comprehensive”(a moderately prosperous society, reform, the rule of law and Party discipline) and that the country is trying to adapt to the new normal condition, vigorously pursuing reforms and beefing up efforts to improve people’s livelihood.

When it came to the global economic situation and challenges confronted by the BRICS nations, Wang urged the BRICS nations to persevere in reform and opening up, promote South-South cooperation, gain a bigger say in international affairs, make sure that the benefits of development reach workers and enhance their capability to cope with economic restructuring.
